Each class combines books and food.  You may come whenever the subject appeals to you.  (We will have books and movies for you to check out, available at the previous month's lunch, and held at the desk if you wish to pick them up later.)

2nd Sundays, 1 pm

August 11

WQED Day - Watch any Rick Sebak DVD and make any recipe from any Chris Fennimore cookbook.

September 8

Read/watch the book/movie "Julie and Julia," and make any recipe from any Julia Child cookbook.

October 13

Read any Edna Ferber novel, and make a recipe from that region of the country.

November 10

Read Anne Tyler's "Saint Maybe," and bring an appetizer to share.

December 8

Read Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol," and bring a munchie for a Victorian Tea.

January 12

Read "City Baker's Guide to Country Living," a novel by Louise Miller, and make a recipe.

February 9

Read "Like Water for Chocolate," by Laura Esquivel, and make your favorite chocolate recipe.

March 8

Read "Out of the Dust," by Karen Hesse, and make any economical recipe (appropriate to The Depression).

April 19

Read a book about your favorite president, and make a recipe appropriate to that era.

May 3

Read " Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" by Barbara Kingsolver, and make any recipe that includes a food that you would not want to live without.

June 14

Read 'Fried Green Tomatoes," by Frannie Flagg, and bring any dish suitable for a barbecue.

July 12

Watch "Ratatouille" and make any French recipe.
