Swissvale Library is the source for community connection, education and entertainment.
Swissvale Library opened for business on February 4, 1918 and is one of 19 libraries that Andrew Carnegie built in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. We have been serving the public for over 100 years and we are preparing for many more years of service to come.
Swissvale Library is equipped with five public computers, free WiFi, a color copier, printing, faxing, and exterior book return, and convenient street parking on Monongahela and McClure Avenues. Use your county-wide library card to borrow any of the library’s materials. Want something from another library? Call us, or use your online account to have it sent here for convenient pick-up. The library is a department of the Woodland Hills School District.
The library’s Policy Page has important information on using the library.
Swissvale Library has a meeting room available for rent. See our Meeting Room Page for more information.
